After work on Friday night, i decided to take a tour of Saint Louis. I don't know much about the city. Anyway, after 5 hours of pointless driving (but educational), I decided to head back into illinois.Story; As I crossed I-270 heading east into illinois, over the bridge/river, I was rolling along at about 80-85mph in a 55. Right after the bridge ends, there is an exit off the freeway. In the median of the exit and the freeway, sits a generic camaro with a fucked up headlight. I think to myself, 'self, thats either a cop, or it's a broken ass car, lets not take a chance...' So i wheel it down to about 60mph (feels like I can jump out and run along side my car it's so slow). About 30 seconds later, I see same effed up headlight bouncing along at about an 80mph clip, but not overwhelmingly fast...still not sure if it's a cop. So 'camaro' rolls up beside me... stays for a sec...rolls back...stays for a sec...rolls up and past just enough that i couldn't make out tags. The car *appears generic. I'm not stupid. So i bounce with him between 60 and 65mph, but along the lines of your shoes as you walk... as he goes forward, i go back...as I go forward, he goes back. This activity goes on for about 2 miles (10-15 times maybe). He rolls in behind me like he's going to exit, even makes the move over...then comes back and lights me up. After getting my license, scoping out my roll bar *repeatedly, and asking why my seat belt is across the console into the passanger seat, he comes back. Trooper; "Why didn't you run me?" Nixit; "I save it for the track" Trooper; "Thats quite the hotrod you have there" Nixit; "haha, hardly..." i'm tired of typing, so... we talked about zcars. he's had his car to 160 before. he suckered (entrapment) some kid 2 days earlier to 140 (when they were side by side, he hit his lights and the kid shit his pants, literally) bye-bye car. he trains for high speed, but not for turns. he told me about drag racing at gateway park, i laughed at him and told him to try turning a sports car. uh...he gave me a written warning for 62 in a 55. still a tickatable offense. he was very impressed with my car. he said when he first saw me pass he wasn't sure what it was. :) damn my fingers hurt. feel free to vtd.
